I started writing the first draft of this book at the start of summer 2019. I was at the beach in Punta Hermosa with my Dad and Brother, relaxing for October break, when I decided to grab my iPad and a towel and take a stroll along the coast when a fond memory of my childhood came upon me. If you're a teenager or a young adult in 2022, you probably grew up watching H2O Just Add Water, the mermaid show. Watching that show as a kid is the actual arch of my creativity. We could believe there was a whole other world under our noses. I remember the feel of the water touching the tip of my toes, and I closed my eyes, hoping that in 10 seconds, my legs would turn into a tail; sadly, when I opened my eyes, my legs were still attached to my body, and there was no tail. "Sigh," I let out, "Oh well" That's when the idea hit me. I've written stories before. Maybe I could write a story about a mermaid. Three years later, I can proudly say that with my dad's help and my fantastic Editor Paul, I can have this book in my hands and share it with you all.
